To all whom these letters shall come, Greetings: Know ye, that the
Louisville Metro Council hereby honors and recognizes

December 5, 2023

Carmen Ellington Day

In recognition and appreciation of Carmen Ellington’s outstanding and distinguished service to our community, the Louisville Metro Government and the Fern Creek Community Association and Chamber of Commerce (FCCACC) wish to honor and celebrate this extraordinary woman on this special occasion of her retirement to say thank you for a job well done and her dedication and hard work throughout the years.

Whereas, Carmen has served on the Fern Creek Chamber Board of Directors for approximately 20 years. With the Chamber, she served as President and Vice President and has been instrumental in all of their community events, such as the annual Golf Scramble, and Business Expo.  Additionally, she was instrumental in initiating the FCCACC Scholarship Program.  Her professionalism and level of commitment are unmatched in providing quality customer care and compassion in everything she accomplishes.

Carmen has been in the banking/Credit Union field for many years with Park Credit Union, First Capital Bank, and finally with Autotruck Financial Credit Union as their Director of Business Development. 

Whereas, Carmen has been a friend to everyone and a valuable asset to this community.  She is the “gold standard” in serving her community.  The community owes her a debt of gratitude and wishes her well in all of her future endeavors.

Whereas, the Louisville Metro Council, FCCACC, and a grateful community wish to express their thanks and appreciation for years of outstanding service and recognize that Carmen continues to be an inspiring and indispensable part of the Fern Creek community. 

We hereby confer this honor with all the rights, privileges, and responsibilities thereunto appertaining.  In testimony whereof, we have caused these letters to be made, and the seal of the Louisville Metro Government to be hereunto affixed.
