In keeping with our Mission Statement “to advance the welfare and prosperity of all Fern Creek area citizens…particular attention and emphasis shall be given to economic, civic, cultural and educational interests of the area”, the FCCACC will be awarding a $1,500 scholarship.
The purpose of the scholarships is to aid and recognize those individuals who have limited or no form of tuition or financial aid available to them. Students already accepted who definitely expect to receive full scholarships or full forms of financial aid, not contingent upon repayment, are asked not to apply.

You, the Applicant must be a high school senior who is either:
A graduating senior dependent of a member in good standing of the Fern Creek Community Association & Chamber of Commerce
A graduating senior at a FCCACC member school; Fern Creek High School or Mercy Academy.
The maximum scholarship for the student selected for the current school year (2018-2019) will be $1,500.00. Only those individuals who are registered or will be registering as a full-time student at an Accredited Post-Secondary Institution/College/University need apply. Scholarship money will be paid directly to the Accredited Post-Secondary Institution College/University and is to be used for tuition and books only.
Scholarship money received may be considered taxable income under the current IRS guidelines.
Students must complete the application form and submit the following information:
Official transcript with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 including SAT/ACT test results. Transcript must have the official school seal or be initialed by a Counselor or someone within the Registrar’s Office.
A signed Letter of Recommendation from a high school teacher, counselor, college professor or administrator, community or church leader or any non-family member.
Essay of 500 typed words, number of words outside of this range will cause a deduction of points, answering the following question: How do you define success?
List of all extracurricular activities such as school activities, organizations, church and volunteer work. Provide the name of the organization, the type of work and the time involved in the organization.
Copy of the Acceptance Letter from the Accredited Post-Secondary Institution/College/University.
Provide a copy/list of any assistance received from any sources & current cost of tuition.
All Scholarship entries must have the completed application and all required documentation to FCCACC postmarked no later than Monday, April 12, 2019.
